ETPL Sponsorship Intelligence Report 2026

The ETPL’s first season attracted 38 sponsors across 18 categories, and no title partner. This report maps every one of them and shows where the open opportunities are.

The evidence was scattered across kit imagery, announcements, trade press and social pages. We assembled it into one dated register, benchmarked it against the IPL and The Hundred, and built a playbook for brands, franchises and agencies planning for Season 2.

Season 1 left a lot unsold. Of the 30 kit positions across the six franchises, 20 were taken in the imagery we reviewed, and many mainstream categories had no sponsor at all. For a brand, that means room to move early. For a franchise, it means a clear view of what is left to sell. For an agency, it means a case to build for each category.

Inside, you will find every sponsor by franchise, category and asset, with the date each deal was announced. A position-by-position kit review shows what is sold and what is open at each franchise. Benchmarks from the IPL and The Hundred show what comparable rights have achieved, with the year shown.

Who should read it

The report is written for anyone who has to decide how much a sponsorship property is worth, who should buy it and how to approach it. Different readers will use different parts of it.

  • Brands and sponsors can see which categories and kit positions were taken in Season 1, which remain open and how comparable rights were priced in the IPL and The Hundred, so they can approach the ETPL with a realistic view of cost and competition.
  • Agencies can see where a client could fit, which categories are crowded and which are empty, and the evidence to build a case for each. The sponsor register and the dated announcements show how and when deals were made public.
  • Franchise commercial teams can compare their own sponsor base with the other five franchises, position by position and category by category, and see where their headroom is before they go back to market for Season 2.
  • Leagues and rights holders can see how the ETPL sponsor base compares with other leagues at the same stage, and where visible gaps, such as the absence of a title partner, may affect how the league is perceived.
  • Investors can use the sponsor evidence, the ownership links and the benchmarks to form a view of the league's commercial potential, and the due diligence toolkit to frame the questions they should put to management.

ETPL Sponsorship Intelligence Report: eight questions

1. What is in the ETPL Sponsorship Intelligence Report?
The report is a full register of the sponsors identified in the ETPL's first season, with each sponsor's category, asset and announcement date. It adds a position-by-position review of the kit for all six franchises, a benchmark of what comparable rights achieved in the IPL and The Hundred, a tiered framework for pricing ETPL inventory, a due diligence toolkit and a playbook for Season 2.

2. How is it different from the free Season 1 report?
The free Season 1 report is a business review of the whole season: the matches, the audience, the economics and the league's position against other new T20 competitions. This report is built around sponsorship alone. It shows who paid for what, what comparable rights are worth and what a buyer should do next, in far more depth than a season review can offer.

3. What do I get in the free preview?
The preview includes the cover page, the disclaimer and terms of use, the full contents and the complete list of exhibits. Together they show how the report is built, what each chapter covers and which exhibits you will find inside, so you can judge whether it fits your needs before requesting the full report.

4. Where does the data come from?
The report draws on official league, franchise and sponsor announcements, franchise and league websites, kit imagery, trade and mainstream press, and published industry estimates. Each source is cited and dated, and every source is listed in the source register in Appendix C. No data was supplied by the ETPL, its franchises, sponsors or broadcasters.

5. Is the report independent?
Yes. The report was not commissioned, sponsored, reviewed or endorsed by the ETPL, any of its franchises, Cricket Ireland or any sponsor, broadcaster or rights holder named in it. It is an independent analysis prepared by NavigatingX, and the disclaimer inside the report sets out the basis on which it was prepared.

6. How do I buy it?
Use the Request the Report button below the questions. It opens an email addressed to NavigatingX with the report title in the subject line. Tell us who you are, which organisation the licence is for and what you want to use the report for, and we will take it from there.

7. What licence do I get?
The report is licensed to the purchasing organisation for internal use only. It may not be copied, resold or redistributed outside the organisation. Licence options and pricing are shared on request.

8. Can you do custom analysis?
Yes. NavigatingX can go deeper on your own numbers: a specific franchise or sponsor, a different league, a pricing question or an investment decision. Contact us with the question and the deadline, and we will tell you what is possible.

Methodology and independence

This report is an independent analysis prepared by NavigatingX. It was not commissioned, sponsored, reviewed or endorsed by the ETPL, its franchises, Cricket Ireland or any sponsor, broadcaster or rights holder named in it.

The report relies on public information as at the cut-off dates stated. Figures labelled as estimates, scenarios or benchmarks are NavigatingX calculations or third-party estimates. They are not official, audited or independently verified figures, and benchmarks from other leagues are reported values, not prices for ETPL assets. A public link between a brand and a property does not show whether money changed hands, how much, or for how long, and an announcement date is not a signing date.

Publicly reported information can change or contain errors. We welcome factual corrections from rights holders and named organisations. To submit one, use the contact section, and verified corrections will be reflected in the next edition.

Licence: The report is licensed to the purchasing organisation for internal use only.
